For my finial second blog I'll be showing you this video called "You Look Disgusting." This video was very toughing and sad. This video is of a girl who started to post pictures of her without makeup, just her pale skin. It was sad because people were commenting very mean comments. So then she decided to put makeup on and start posting about of her with makeup. People were saying she look so great and beautiful. But then they started saying she looked ugly and disgusting. Then twords the end they had the comments of what she thought an felt. This video was pretty simple but the way they put it together was really good. They had some awesome shots. There were close ups of her face and of how she was reacting to the comments of what'd others were saying. The video also went really well just of the music because it matched on how she was feeling. At the end the have a quote. And think everyone should remember this quote because there will always be haters and all you can remember is... "YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL,DON'T LET ANYONE TELL YOU DIFFERENTLY,NOT EVEN YOURSELF."

Hey guys, I'm sad to say that this will be my last blog for media. If you didn't know I'm not joining media next year because I want to focus more on my core class, and get better grades. So this will be my last and final blog. Beginning in media has taught me many things. To get started on this week's blog topic I'll be telling you my summer goals. I don't mean things I want to do on summer like going to the beach. I mean things that I've learned from media that I want to improve on or learn from those lessons. The three things I want to work on during the summer is working harder on meeting my deadlines, not procrastinate, and to go from good to great.
The first thing I want to work on during summer is working harder on meeting my deadlines. Even though I won’t be in media I will still have lot’s of work in other classes that will have deadlines.I did pretty good with meeting my deadlines in media. But I still want to work harder so I can even be early on projects. A way I’m going to meet this goal is by starting on projects early and right away. My next summer goal is to not procrastinate. I probably have said procrastinate in all of my blogs. But this is a really big thing that I always do. It is so easy to procrastinate. One minute you could be working then the next you're watching tv. A way I’m going to improve and meet this goal is by staying off my electronics when I’m working on anything. The last and final goal I have is to go from good to great.I learned that we can always be good but why not be better. I want to be able to get all A’s for all four quarters. The only way I’ll be able to do this is by not procrastinating and meet my deadlines. I also want to do my best at everything. In conclusion, begins in media has taught me many things that I will use for the rest of my life. But three summer goals I have is to meet my deadlines, not procrastinate, and to go from good to great.Even though I won't be in media I will still use the things I have learned.
Hey guys, for this weeks second blog it will be on another video by Sam Kolder. This video is called Hawaii v2.0. This video is just as cool as his other one I shared with you guys. One thing that I liked about this video was the voiceover he say's at the begging. The next I enjoyed in this video was the shots that he had were amazing. The way he edited this video just made like it even more like the transitions. This video is what I would call"Summer Goals!" I wish I could be able to go on fun adventures like this and make a really cool video. So you should totally watch this video!
Hey guys, this week's blog topic is advice for next year students or for anyone that would like some advice for media class. In my two years of being in media I learned many things. But my top three advice for you would be to put things away, don't procrastinate, and double check on your equipment before filming.
The first tip I have for you is to put things away. Mr.M will get very mad if you don’t put thing away. Especially if you forget your laptop out, you’ll probably get it taken away. I also learned that if someone forgets any equipment out you should still put it away for them because you will be saving that student and the class from getting lectures. Also double cheak that you put away your equipment after filming. So just put it back. Another tip is to not procrastinate. Procrastination is something that everyone does. But it alaways hits you back very hard.So you shouold start right away on projects, radios, and advisory games. It’s best to get your work checked on so you can get a better grade. But usually many people start stressing even more when the due dates are coming by because they were procrastinating My third tip for you is to double check on your equipment before you go to film. You don't want anything to not work while your filming because people our giving up their time to work with you, and if you forgot something or if something wasn’t working they will be unhappy. You always want to be prepared. That’s why you need to check your equipment, like checking your mics or cameras. You should also pack extra batteries in case if anything died. In conclusion with the experience I’ve had of being in media. Three advice I have for you would have to be to put things away, don’t procrastinate, and to check your equipment before you film. I hope these tips help you out a little. Media has taught me many things and I hope it teaches you many things too. For this weeks blog it will be a project update. In the begging of 4th I was on track. I was able to finish my T.I.A.S and script on time and get a 4 on them. But this week i think I have fallen behind because my goal was to be done filming this week. But I wasn't able to get that done because many people were busy.So now I'm behind.
In the begging I was on time. I was really happy that I was able to get those things done and get 4 points my first draft. But I think I've fallen behind because i decided to start filming on the week everyone else was filming. This became a real struggle. The people that I wanted to act in my video have been busy with their own lives and own project. SO it's been really hard to schedule a day to film. So far I've been filming parts of my video. But I still haven't been able to film my whole video yet. The god thing about music videos is don't have to worry about your audio. You just have to make sure your shots are good. I also had a struggle with making my shots look good because I tried to film as much as I could with amount of time I had. I think this is mor stressful then STN because you actually know exactly what you want. My last reason why I said that I'm late is we only have 2 more weeks till our whole project is due.I still have lot's to film.I also have to make a few drafts before it is finally due.4th quarter is going by really fast so I can't spend anytime procrastinating. In conclusion I'm behind. In the begging of fourth quarter I was able to stay on track. But now I have fallen behind because I wasn't abel to meet my goal. Which was to finish filming this week but I still have lot's to film. Hey guys so this week I'm going to just get right to the topic. So this weeks topic is about moments we made mistakes and what we learned from the mistakes. Three times I made a mistake were not listing to my parents, lying, and procrastinating. But now I know a little bit better why not to do that.
A time I made a mistake was when I didn't listen to my parents. My parents told me to get a good phone case. Of course I didn't listen and got a nice and not protective case. So one day I dropped my phone and it cracked like crazy. I was so sad. But my parents just said "I told so...You should of listened." And the lesson I learned was that I should listen to my parents and get a better case next time. That was one lesson I learned from my many mistakes I have made. Another time would have to be when I lied to my godmother. So what happens was she told me to call my mom to just to tell her how I was. Then later she asked me if I called my mom and I said "yes" when really I didn't . Then the next day my mom called and she said "Why didn't you call me yesterday."l And my godmother heard her say that which got both of them mad because I lied,so I got my phone taken away. I leaned that next time I shouldn't lie and I should just do what I'm told because it wasn't that hard of a thing to do. The third mistake I'll be telling you about is I procrastinate. I procrastinate a lot which isn't good. But when I procrastinate it comes back hitting me hard. My parents always tell me to do my work but I always procrastinate. I learned that if I didn't procrastinate I would probably get my homework done and get lots of "A's". In conclusion mistakes are made lots of times. But that's the only way we can learn is by making a few mistakes in life. Few times I made mistakes were not listening to my parents, lying, and procrastinating. Hey guys for this week's second blog ,I'll be sharing with you a video by Sam Kolder, the video is called "My Year 2015". This video is of this guy traveling around world going on awesome adventures with he's friends. There are are really cool shots. The reason I chose this video was it looked so professional. He also had some great drone shots. There are also shots from the chainsmokers concert. I also liked how there were shots in Hawaii. In the video there are a few parts that he photoshops the background and makes a galaxy, I thought those parts were neat. There are also some cool time-lapse. Then at the end it's just bloopers. So you should totally cheak the video out. Hey guys for this week's blog topic it will be about a time I went out of my comfort zone. This is another hard topic for me. I really had to think on this one. But three times I went out of my comfort zone would have to be when I flew to Oahu all by myself,Going to six flags, and going on the fireball for the first time.
When I flew to Oahu all by myself I felt out of my comfort zone. It was a new and a different experience. When my grandpa dropped me off at the airport I got strait into the TSA line. But the line was so long. I waited in the line for 10 mins at least, then heard the PA calling my name. I was really worried that I would miss the flight. Luckily some nice people let me go in front. Once j went through TSA I had to run to the gate, I was the last one to board. When I got into Oahu my family was waiting outside for me. I think that was a new experience. Another time I wasn't in my comfort zone was when went to Six Flags in Atlanta. I knew that the rides at Six Flags were crazy, but I was ready for it. But the one ride that made me feel out of my comfort zone was the superman ride. In my last blog I said that it as my favorite ride, only because after the ride felt awesome and could go on any other ride like nothing. When we were getting closer and closer I got more and more nervous. But the end of it I enjoyed it. Finally, the third time I can remember being out of my comfort zone would have to be when I went to the Kauai County Fair and went on the ride called "Fireball". All the ride did was go in circles over and over again. The scary part was being flipped over. Many people said scary stuff about the ride which made me even more nervous. Once I sat in the seat I was so scared. But once the ride started it was like nothing. So now it's like a kids ride to me. In conclusion sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone can help you become even more brave and experience new things. Three times I went out of my comfort zone would have to be flying by myself for the first time, going to Six Flags, and riding the fireball. Those are pretty much the only times I remember stepping out of my comfort zone. I hope now you might try stepping out of your comfort zone. This weeks blog topic is about our top three most memorable moment on the trip. I can't believe that it has already been 2 weeks since our trip to Atlanta and New York. I think I have to say that this was the funniest trip out of all the other trips I've gone on. I had so much fun but 3 most memorable moments would have to be the award ceremony, ice skating in New York, and going to six flags.
My first memorable moment would have to be the award ceremony. It was such a great time because all of our hard work payed off. I really got happy when we won an award and all the other Hawaii schools were cheering like crazy. When I went up to get our award I was so happy even if it wasn't first. I also liked seeing how all nervous everyone was but then were all happy. Another memorable moment was when we got to go ice skating in Central Park. We actually didn't plan going to ice skating, we just went. I had a great time. We all got to laugh a lot. What made the ice skating really special was getting to ice skate with my friends in New York. It was funny because our class kept falling so many times and many people in our class didn't know how to skate. It was a really great experience, I'm happy I got to do this because I actually really wanted to skating, and I did! My third memorable moment was getting to go to Six Flags in Atlanta. It was my first time going to Six Flags. I knew they had crazy roller coasters and I was ready for them. Even though I only went on 5 rides I had an awesome time. The rides we awesome and crazy. There was even ride we went on, that guys phone flew out of the ride. We even when on a ride called the Superman, were your pretty much laying down going crazy loops and slopes. The only thing was I couldn't scream because I lost my voice from the award ceremony. In closing this was the best trip I ever went on, and I'm happy I got to experience it with my friends. There are many memorable moments from the trip but the top three would have to be the award ceremony, ice skating in New York, and going to Six Flags. I had a great time! |
